Aldo Furfaro – Founder

Born in the small town of Mammola in the province of Reggio Calabria in the south of Italy, Aldo started his apprenticeship in the age of 11, working in a barbershop. At the age of 18 in 1979 Aldo had moved to Montreal, Canada with his family to start what would become a hair dynasty all over the city. From a single hair salon in 1986, Aldo with his two brothers it only took 10 years to move its St-Laurent group to 38 hair salons and a staff of more than 600 employees. Not just a passionate businessman, Aldo also cherishes a huge passion for hair. Winner of many coveted and national trophies titles across Canada and the United States such as Ladies World Supreme. Champion for two consecutive years in 94 and 95, Aldo’s talent is only matched by his enthusiasm for his profession. Aldo with his passion and international vision in 2005, he opened Saco academy in London, England. Saco’s leading edge has become a world-renowned and today is one of the leading companies around the globe. Today, Saco proudly has 6 academies around the world, London, Paris, Moscow, Copenhagen, Seoul and Taiwan and 8 Saco franchise salons. Aldo’s vision is to share the success he enjoys and to develop the Saco name even further.
